浮世絵

An art piece drawn by Takezasado of Kyoto, a woodblock print workshop founded in 1891, using the Ukiyo-e technique to depict the heroes of that era. The battle scene, depicting the final battle, is completely original and truly represents "Ukiyo-e of the Reiwa Era." The artist, carver, and printer interpreted the manga and anime, and while expanding their own imaginations, reflected the personality of each character in their poses and detailed depictions.
Todoroki Shoto, with his "half-cold, half-hot" quirk, has a Japanese image due to his love of soba, and is depicted referencing traditional karate kata. The background, with its continuous geometric motifs, expresses the collapse of buildings. Also, due to Todoroki Shoto's taciturn and calm personality, the design uses orderly motifs. Not only the figures, but also each wrinkle in their clothes, the delicate lines that create waves, and the subtle color gradation at the top of the screen are unique to Ukiyo-e. The bold color gradation created by the contrast of ice and fire is also a highlight. When held up to dynamic light, you will be breathless at the flat expression achieved by the high level of technical skill.
This series of works is created as a triptych, and is drawn so that the picture is complete regardless of which of the three characters is placed in what order. The wood grain of the wild cherry woodblock itself is also transferred to the printed work, quietly asserting that it is a first edition.
